Schedule: 2nd shift Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pmย Pay: $ 22.50

Job Description

Purpose and Scope:

The Outbound Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of outbound operations within a warehouse or distribution center. This role plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and timely shipment of goods to customers while maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.ย 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of outbound shipping clerks, forklift operators, and other team members.ย 
  • Provide guidance and direction to ensure the accurate picking, packing, and loading of outgoing shipments.ย 
  • Monitor workflow and staffing levels to meet outbound order fulfillment requirements.ย 
  • Oversee the picking, packing, and staging of orders for shipment.ย 
  • Ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and adherence to customer specifications.ย 
  • Coordinate with internal departments, such as inventory control and customer service, to resolve order discrepancies and ensure on-time delivery.ย 
  • Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule outbound shipments.ย 
  • Ensure proper packaging and labeling of outgoing shipments to comply with shipping regulations.ย 
  • Generate shipping documents and labels, and schedule pickups with carriers.ย 
  • Maintain accurate records of outgoing shipments and inventory levels.ย 
  • Coordinate with inventory control teams to reconcile inventory discrepancies and optimize stock availability for outbound orders.ย 
  • Conduct periodic audits of outbound inventory to ensure accuracy.ย 
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the integrity of outgoing shipments.ย 
  • Conduct inspections of packed orders to verify accuracy and compliance with quality standards.ย 
  • Address any quality-related issues or concerns to maintain customer satisfaction.ย
