Job Description:

This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) ASOSU Graphic Design Coordinator for the ASOSU at Oregon State University (OSU).

The ASOSU Graphic Design Coordinator serves on the ASOSU President's Public Relations Team to develop marketing materials for various ASOSU campaigns, initiatives, events, and programs with the goal of improving the visibility of ASOSU within the OSU campus and community. The ASOSU Graphic Design Coordinator will also be assisting in overseeing all design efforts, and work with the ASOSU President's Public Relations Team to distribute materials through the various ASOSU media and engagement platforms.

The Undergraduate Student Support Services Worker performs a variety of work related to the support and enhancement of the quality of student life at the university.

Position Duties:

  • Collaborate and consult with the Director of Marketing & Public Relations as needed on position duties

  • Design graphics and merchandise for events, campaigns, services, and advocacy initiatives across ASOSU departments

  • Support the ASOSU Public Relations Team and ASOSU President and Vice President in creating an ASOSU newsletter

  • Maintain a set timeline for submission and development of all marketing related materials

  • Collaborate with ASOSU Executive Branch members to create and design materials and content for respective events, initiatives, and campaigns

  • Develop materials to raise awareness of any events promoted by the ASOSU Executive Branch, as well as the other ASOSU branches

  • Maintain current knowledge of on and offcampus resources for marketing and promotion purposes, as well as effective and innovative marketing and design methods, these may include MU Creative Studio, OSU Printing and Mailing, and University Housing and Dining Services

  • Collaborate with the MU Creative Studio as needed to create graphic materials and promotional videos for ASOSU events and campaigns

  • Create marketing materials that may utilize software like Adobe Studio, Canva, or other related graphic design tools

  • Ensure OSU and/or ASOSU brand guidelines are followed

    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term

    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*

    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term

    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*


*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by theOffice of International Services(OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

  • Maintenance of good academic and conduct standing and a cumulative and prior term 2.0 GPA

  • Organizational skills, including managing time and working accurately with interruptions to meet a deadline; delegating tasks, when applicable

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience or knowledge working with ASOSU, or other organizations focusing on student advocacy, campus involvement, diversity and inclusion, or other related areas
