You will support, collaborate and guide our clients on workplace safety and health compliance requirements for OSHA (federal and state) regulations and will manage support on other L&E matters as needed.
Responsibilities
- Support, collaborate and guide business partners on environmental and workplace safety and health compliance requirements
- Manage outside counsel and vendors on global EH&S issues and create programmatic opportunities to address risk, including training, policies and processes
- Develop relationships with regulatory agencies, defend our practices within appropriate boundaries, and work to influence policy development
- Handle all aspects of litigation relating to matters regarding workplace safety and discrimination matters per OSHA regulations
- Represent clients in negotiations and mediations.
- Provide crisis management to clients dealing with workplace safety and health matters
Skills and Educational Requirements:
- J.D. from an ABA accredited law school, with exceptional academic credentials
- 3+ years of employment litigation experience preferred; OSHA experience required.All exceptional candidates with relevant experience will be considered
- Class action or public sector experience a plus
- Admitted to practice law in the State Bar of the Associate's primary office
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative, team environment
