Software Engineer โ€“ Oscilloscope Applications

Join a team building software at the heart of the most advanced test and measurement instruments in the world. We develop applications for industryโ€‘leading realโ€‘time, highโ€‘performance oscilloscopes โ€” tools used by engineers pushing the boundaries of electronics, communications, and research.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

You'll own meaningful pieces of the software stack, from lowโ€‘level algorithm development to customerโ€‘facing features. Day to day, that means writing and shipping application software on Windows, developing signalโ€‘processing and analysis algorithms, and building selfโ€‘tests that keep code quality high.

A growing part of this role involves AI โ€” both as a tool to accelerate your own development workflow and as a feature set you'll implement directly for customers. You will research what users actually need, translate those needs into wellโ€‘scoped work, and collaborate closely with product planners, marketing, and QA to bring it all together. We work in standard agile cycles, so you will have a consistent rhythm of planning, shipping, and iterating.

Qualifications
  • 5โ€“10 years of professional software development experience
  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and hardware interfaces
  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, digital design, and electronic components
  • Proven ability to build, test, and debug software across the full development lifecycle
  • Strong proficiency in objectโ€‘oriented programming and software design principles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of analog circuit design and mixedโ€‘signal systems
  • Experience using digital oscilloscopes or other bench test and measurement equipment
  • GUI development using Windows WPF
  • Proficiency in C++ or C# using Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Experience with Gitโ€‘based source control workflows
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket) in an agile development environment
