Job description

Odyssey Technical Solutions is a state-of-the-art Repair Facility located in Round Rock, Texas that specializes in RF Generators, AutoMatch Networks, DC Power Supplies, Remote Plasma Systems, and Microwave Generators/Power Supplies.

JOB SUMMARY

The Electronics Technician position tests and repairs electronic assemblies/subassemblies in a shop environment for Matching Networks, RF Generators and DC Power Supplies, while utilizing block diagrams and schematics. Employee must demonstrate electronic ability, knowledge and aptitude with minimal supervision.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Associate (AA/AS) degree equivalent or higher

Experience:

Employee must have a technical background. Any equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Comprehend electronic schematics
  • Proficient in setting up and using Test Equipment such as a Power Supply, DVM, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, etc
  • Ability to troubleshoot failures using education, equipment, and experience
  • Ability to repair high complexity assemblies to component level
  • Knowledge of soldering and de-soldering electronic components of various types
  • Ability to repair, calibrate, and test customer equipment with emphasis on quality of workmanship
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Compliance with quality assurance policies and methodologies while consistently producing high quality work
  • Maintain a clean/safe work environment
  • Follow all published/posted safety standards (daily use of ESD and safety protective devices)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license by date of hire

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

Computer, test equipment, analyzers, soldering tools, hand tools, oscilloscope, and appropriate safety equipment. Must be able to lift 50lbs using proper lifting techniques and safety protocols.
