Job description

LPN – Vaccine Clinic COVID-19 Response Phoenix VAMC

Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center Department of Veterans Affairs offers healthcare services to eligible military veterans at VA medical centers and outpatient clinics across the country. Driven by the mission to fulfill President Lincoln's promise "To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan", VA strives to serve and honor America's veterans by adhering to the highest standards of compassion, commitment, excellence, professionalism, integrity, accountability, and stewardship.

The Phoenix VA Health Care System proudly serves Veterans in central Arizona at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center and nine community-based outpatient VA clinics.

POSITION OVERVIEW (duties include but are not limited to)

  • Providing immunizations to patients
  • Education and documentation of the COVID-19 vaccine
  • Post-injection observation
  • Appropriate documentation in the EMR system

QUALIFICATIONS

  • LPN Degree
  • Current, valid LPN licensure from any US state or the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands
  • Vaccination experience preferred
  • Maintain current BLS certification
