Your Future Plans
We are looking for a Junior Analyst, PPAs and Structured Origination, to support our origination team responsible for identifying, qualifying, securing, managing, negotiating and executing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) on utility scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects.ย 
The candidate will be responsible for supporting our Origination team in the preparation of information and proposals for potential offtakers. The end goal of the Origination team is to find the best possible commercial contracts for our investments in Wind, Solar and Battery projects in North America. ย 

Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality client-facing materials, including proposals, presentation materials, spreadsheets, and other documents as requested, for fast-moving technical sales.
  • Support responses with regional origination on requests for proposals, including opportunity qualification, opportunity evaluation, bid response drafting, collecting and organizing project inputs, participating pricing strategy, and bid submittal.
  • Help track, analyze, and generate reports for all opportunities/deals across the team, particularly Salesforce.
  • Help regional originators identify power offtake opportunities for solar, wind and energy storage projects in physical and nodal marketplaces.
  • Regularly research and analyze utility Integrated Resource Plans, corporate sustainability goals, state policy initiatives, trade publications and other data sets to identify business opportunities.
  • Develop knowledge of the clean energy industry, including trends, legislation, competitor strategies, etc.
  • Participate in development and origination team meetings/calls.
  • Become a valued member of the energetic, collaborative, and fun RWE Americas PPA & Structured Origination team.

Your Powerful Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in energy, business, sustainability, economics, engineering, or related field.
  • Preference for' experience in the energy sector, ideally with some direct experience/knowledge of the renewable energy sector
  • Self-driven, self-confident, persuasive and assertive but diplomatic
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to produce high -quality work products
  • Strong Microsoft Office and other computer skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet required objectives and deadlines
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple workflows with competing deadlines
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • A deep drive for learning and continued personal growth
  • Deep interest in the clean energy transitionย
