FLSA: Non-Exempt (Intern)

Position Summary:

The FP&A Intern supports the Financial Planning & Analysis team in delivering financial reporting, forecasting, and analytical insights. This role provides hands-on experience with core FP&A processes, including budgeting, variance analysis, and financial modeling, while contributing to data-driven decision-making across the organization. The intern will work closely with finance team members and cross-functional partners to analyze business performance and support key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities by gathering data, updating models, and validating assumptions.
  • Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods; summarize key findings.
  • Maintain and update financial models, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
  • Assist in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and preparing summary reports.
  • Support month-end financial processes, including data validation and reporting.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
  • Support process improvements, including data organization and reporting efficiency initiatives.
  • Collaborate with team members on cross-functional initiatives and process documentation.
Additional Responsibilities:

Carries out duties assigned by management as required.

Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, and talking, hearing and visual activity. Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds).

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copier/printer/scanners. Estimated travel is less than 5%.
