Position Summary

The Finance Intern will support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Commerical Finance teams through analytical, reporting, and planning activities. This role provides exposure to commercial finance, forecasting, business performance management, and strategic planning processes.

Working closely with the VP Finance, FP&A and finance leaders across the organization, the intern will assist in transforming financial data into actionable insights that support business growth, operational performance, and decision-making.

This internship is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field who is interested in developing strong analytical, financial modeling, and business partnering skills.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis Support

  • Assist with monthly financial reporting and variance analysis.
  • Support preparation of budget, forecast, and long-range planning materials.
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare financial dashboards and reporting packages for business reviews.
  • Support ad hoc financial analyses and special projects.

Commercial Finance & Analytics

  • Assist with customer, product, and portfolio profitability analysis.
  • Support pricing, trade investment, and promotional effectiveness evaluations.
  • Participate in financial modeling and scenario analysis projects.
  • Help translate commercial performance data into actionable insights.

Business Intelligence & Data Analytics

  • Support development of dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
  • Help validate and organize financial and operational data.
  • Perform data cleansing and reconciliation activities to improve reporting quality.
  • Assist with automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Special Projects

  • Participate in strategic finance initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • Research industry trends, competitors, and market developments.
  • Prepare presentations and analyses for leadership meetings.
  • Support process improvement efforts across FP&A and Commerical Finance functions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred

  • Experience with financial modeling or data analysis projects.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
