Summary:
The Director of Organizational Development is responsible for the continuing growth and development of Children's of Alabama employees. Creates an atmosphere of continuous improvement by providing learning opportunities for all employees of every level. Supports the organization's leadership in challenges related to employee performance, career paths, skills development, interpersonal interaction, workforce development and departmental and organization-wide culture. Provides opportunities for leaders to sharpen their skills and create a culture that delivers excellent service and retains valued employees.

Experience
- 5-8 years experience leading an OD function in a healthcare setting preferred.
- 10+ years of organizational development experience required.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in HR/OD, business or related field required. Master's degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education, experience, applicable certifications and training may substitute for these requirements.
Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
- Organizational development/training certifications preferred including coaching certification and/or assessment certifications.

The medical staff consists of UAB faculty and Children’s full-time physicians as well as private practicing community physicians.
