Job description

Overview/Function: The Order Builders role is to build customer orders in preparation of shipment, ensuring they are accurately fulfilled.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Utilize assigned tickets, accurately pull products from warehousing area and build orders in preparation for shipment.
  • Stage and load product in accordance to company standards.
  • Move product throughout the warehouse in an efficient, effective and safe manner, both manually and utilizing material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift, etc.).
  • Safely utilize material handling equipment.
  • Count and inspect product; Help to resolve order discrepancies.
  • Minimize damaged products.
  • Comply with all safety procedures. Maintain clean and orderly work area to ensure safety.
  • Ethical conduct is expected at all times.
  • Consistent, regular attendance is an essential job function.
  • Other duties as required.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to read and follow directions and work orders.
  • Ability to follow all safety requirements/protocols.
  • Good team-player.
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to varying situations.
  • Positive, helpful attitude.
  • Some light computer experience is helpful.

Additional:

  • This position is very active and requires the employee to frequently lift and/or move items up to 55 lbs. (Moving equipment and tools will be provided to reduce strains and injury.)
  • Standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing will be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must have the ability to build orders at a minimum case count of 120 per hour to be successful in this role.
  • This role is considered a safety sensitive position.
  • To accomplish their tasks, the position will work in a warehouse environment in which the temperate is unregulated and dependent upon outdoor temperatures.
  • Work hours: Typically 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (1st shift) or 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 pm (2nd shift), or until all orders are built for the next days deliveries is complete, Monday-Friday. Some occasional weekend or off-shift work may be needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
