Position: Oracle POS / Xstore Techno-Functional Consultant

Location: City of Industry, CA

Duration: Long term contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Oracle POS/Xstore Techno-Functional Consultant to join our team in City of Industry, CA. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional understanding of Oracle Retail Point of Sale (Xstore), along with hands-on technical expertise in integrations, configurations, and customizations. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and support teams to implement and support Xstore solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather and analyze requirements related to Oracle Xstore POS.
  • Configure and customize Oracle Xstore Retail POS system to meet business needs.
  • Develop and troubleshoot interfaces between Xstore and external systems (ERP, Payment Gateways, Loyalty, CRM, etc.).
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and enhancements in the Xstore environment.
  • Participate in the full SDLC including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Conduct functional testing, regression testing, and UAT support.
  • Document functional specifications, design documents, and user manuals.
  • Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with Oracle support for SRs and patch management.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle Retail Point of Sale (Xstore), with at least 2 full-cycle implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Retail suite (Xstore, ORPOS, ORCE, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in Java-based customization of Xstore.
  • Experience with Xstore Web Services, Middleware integrations (WebLogic, SOA, or Kafka).
  • Good understanding of retail store operations and POS processes (Sales, Returns, Discounts, Inventory, Promotions, etc.).
  • Ability to write functional and technical specs.
  • Familiarity with Oracle databases and basic SQL/PLSQL.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Retail Certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Mobile POS, Self-Checkout, or omnichannel retail.
  • Exposure to cloud-based Xstore implementations.
  • Retail industry domain experience is highly preferred.
