Job DEscription
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for building services and coming up with appropriate database solutions to business problems

Debug critical database issues and provide solutions.

Research, Design, Develop, and/or modify applications using SQL, PL/SQL or Python.

Prototyping database solutions and recommending the adoption of new technologies and continually improve our client experience.

Development and Deployment of application database changes / releases to production and non-production environments

Self-reliant, hands-on position on the team to lead and drive code quality, maintain application stability in an agile environment.

Collaborate with database team peers, product owners, product development teams, UX/UI, Internal/External stakeholders, and globally distributed teams to understand requirements and develop database code in compliance to client needs

Assist in the development of overall feature and focusing on the outcome and deliverables either meeting or exceeding expectations

Define engineering best practices and mentor teams to write elegant code using effective automated unit tests & Test-Driven Development methodologies

Develop specifications for new database services.

Meet deadlines and manage multiple, dynamic priorities

Education / Experience / Certification

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is required. Master's degree is preferred.

10+ years of experience as a Database Developer/DBA in a fast-paced agile environment preferably in a product development environment. Minimum of 7+ years as Oracle Developer/DBA. Database Development experience is a must.

Deep expertise on database internals, expert level PL/SQL development skills, expert level SQL development skills and Python/Shell programming experience

Expert level experience with all aspects of Oracle databases and features. Deep knowledge and working experience in Oracle Virtual Private Database (VPD) and expert level Oracle Partitioning experience is desired. Experience in RDS Oracle and RDS PostgreSQL is a plus but not mandatory.

Expert level database performance tuning skills

Experience working with Linux operating systems such as RedHat.

Experience in application deployment, automation, and DevOps tools such as Artifactory, GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Ansible. Experience with Liquibase is a plus.

Knowledge of public clouds such as AWS, Azure or GCP

Exceptional interpersonal skills that include the ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with technical and non-technical personnel at all levels.

Java and Hibernate development experience in addition to deep database development is preferred.

Experience working in an Agile Environment with great collaboration and communication skills to drive solutions independently

Oracle Certification is a huge plus

Experience working with Oracle Cloud Control, Golden Gate and Golden Gate BDA is also a plus
