Have you worked in an optometry office and are looking for an opportunity to further develop new skills?
If so we would love to meet you! We are a private optometry practice located in Mesquite, TX. We are expanding and seeking a full-time, Optometric Technician who is responsible, fun, friendly, and who loves patient care and people as much as we do!
Job Duties
  • Greet patients and ensure they enjoy an amazing experience on every visit
  • Schedule patients and verify vision benefits or insurance coverage
  • Manage continuous patient flow by effectively communicating with team members
  • Prepare electronic charts
  • Stock and prepare exam room for patient exams (disinfect and wipe down all sinks, equipment and instruments)
  • Perform technical duties such as
    • take detailed patient histories including current medical conditions
    • perform tests using equipment for auto-refraction, lensometry, tonometry, glaucoma and visual fields screenings
    • measure visual acuities
    • train new, contact lens patients
  • Perform other duties the optometrist may delegate
  • Work with positivity and enthusiasm

  • 1+ years of experience in an optometry office
  • Flexible schedule - must be able to work evenings and Saturdays
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, accountable, and a driver of results
  • Basic computer skills required

  • Experience as an optometric technician a strong plus
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
