Job Summary

The OMS Account Manager is responsible for identifying, coordinating, and executing hyper local events that align with Optimum's growth strategy. This role supports multiple sales organizations- including MDU, Retail, D2D, B2B and SMB not excluding communication alignment with Field Services - by securing opportunities for brand engagement and assist in driving sales performance. This position ensures the success of events through planning, coordination and training while working cross functionally with sales teams. The OMS Account Manager reports directly to the OMS Events Manager.
This role plays a vital role in supporting lead generation and sales conversion efforts by assisting sales teams with event planning, execution and follow-up. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at relationship building, and possesses strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Event Identification & Planning

  • Proactively identify and secure hyperlocal events that align with Optimum's growth and market expansion strategies.
  • Develop partnerships with key community stakeholder's, including HOA's comma MDU properties, city officials, new businesses, and new housing developments to secure event opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create a market event calendar that includes sponsorships, pop-up events, networking functions, and outreach campaigns.
  • Partner with construction teams, government affairs, and sales channels to align events with new Fiber project build, special market offers or retention exercises.

Event Execution & Coordination

  • Coordinate event logistics, including staffing, setup, branding, and materials to ensure all events meet company standards
  • Ensure alignment between event execution and sales strategies by working closely with retail, D2D, B2B, and SMB teams to drive on site sales and lead generation
    Provide on-site leadership at events to ensure smooth operations, branding consistency, exemplary customer experience/escalation management and maximum ROI impact.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between event partners, vendors and internal teams.

Sales Team Support & Training

  • Facilitate sales leads through event execution and customer engagement.
  • Train and support sales teams on how to maximize event opportunities, engage with potential customers, and build community relationships outside of traditional sales environments.
  • Educate teams on network advantages and network improvements in our local market.
  • Educate teams on ethical sales representation, brand positioning and best practices for customer engagement in the field.
  • Assist sales teams in capturing, qualifying, and following up on leads from events to drive post events conversions.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Schedule, track, and report event performance metrics including attendance, engagement, leads generated, and sales conversions.
  • Provide detailed event recaps and insights to leadership to assess ROI and improve future event strategies.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of event leads and ensure proper follow-up processes with designated manager and sales team.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in the event coordination, sales environment, community engagement, sales operations, or a related field
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills to work across multiple sales channels and teams
  • Excellent relationship building skills with community leaders, businesses and event partners
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) for tracking leads and reporting
  • Ability work independently while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends as needed for events
  • Reliable transportation required for frequent travel to event locations
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods during events
  • Ability to move equipment, supplies and materials to set up events
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in good standing within the state of current residence
