Skyworks is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to drive our Die Processing Services within the Acoustic Filter Technologies group. As the Director of Filter Die Processing Services (DPS), you’ll play a pivotal role at the cutting edge of high-performance Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) and Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) filter production. Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership in die singulation, integrating advanced methods (including plasma and stealth dicing) to optimize BAW and SAW filter production, cost efficiency, and throughput.
  • Manage die-level inspection protocols using enhanced visual, IR, machine vision, and automated optical systems to identify defects, enforce standards, and continuously refine criteria and equipment.
  • Direct and optimize tape-and-reel packaging, adopting automation and improved layouts to maximize clean-room space, traceability, and process efficiency.
  • Implement robust quality control measures and comprehensive procedures to proactively detect and minimize die-level damage, leveraging data analytics, SPC, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to pilot new technologies, streamline workflows, and support process improvements and technology introduction.
  • Ensure compliance with global industry standards, drive continuous improvement, and regularly audit processes to optimize capacity utilization and minimize waste.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using advanced analytics, maintaining best practice databases to support ongoing quality and cost optimization.

 

Required Experience and Skills

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in die processing, semiconductor manufacturing, or acoustic filter technology, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing technical teams and driving process optimization in high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Strong project management capabilities and experience with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and yield improvement strategies.
  • Professional certifications in semiconductor manufacturing or quality management are advantageous.

Desired Experience and Skills

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $170,100 - $339,500 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
