  • Security Clearance Requirement: Must hold an Active DoD Secret Clearance at the start of employment and be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.

About the Role. G2 Ops supports mission-critical defense and technology initiatives by solving complex operational and engineering challenges. We are seeking a motivated, collaborative Model-Based Systems Engineer to support PMW 770 Undersea Communications systems, including the ExVLF program environment.
In this role, you'll develop Model-Based Systems Engineering products and digital engineering deliverables that support requirements, system design, analysis, verification, validation, interoperability, and acquisition lifecycle decisions.
What You'll Do
  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering methods throughout requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities
  • Develop and maintain system models, architecture products, diagrams, and digital engineering deliverables for PMW 770 Undersea Communications systems
  • Support interoperability analysis to help ensure systems operate effectively across mission and technical environments
  • Produce model-derived reports, technical summaries, and decision-support products for program leadership and engineering stakeholders
  • Manage and coordinate model information, resources, and digital-thread objectives across engineering teams
  • Help implement and mature a model-based culture using digital enterprise infrastructure and collaborative modeling practices
  • Use model data to establish and maintain digital-thread connections across systems engineering, cybersecurity, configuration management, software, and integration disciplines
  • Collaborate with government customers, engineers, analysts, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align MBSE products with program objectives

What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, systems engineering, computer science, mathematics, or another STEM field
  • 3+ years of relevant Model-Based Systems Engineering, systems engineering, digital engineering, or system architecture experience
  • Experience applying MBSE principles to requirements, architecture, design, analysis, verification, validation, or acquisition lifecycle activities
  • Knowledge of Systems Modeling Language, Unified Modeling Language, systems modeling standards, or related systems engineering lifecycle processes
  • Experience with a collaborative MBSE or digital engineering environment, such as MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler, Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect, IBM Rational Rhapsody, System Architect, or a comparable tool
  • Ability to develop clear model artifacts, reports, and decision-support products for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance at the start of employment and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Navy, DoD, or other government programs
  • Experience supporting undersea communications, command-and-control, or complex system-of-systems environments
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework or Unified Architecture Framework practices
  • Experience developing or supporting digital-thread objectives across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Experience implementing model-based practices within a digital enterprise environment
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or a comparable drafting tool
  • OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional, Associate Systems Engineering Professional, or Certified Systems Engineering Professional certification

Compensation & Benefits. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000-$125,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
