Job description

Job Summary:
Sunday is developing personal robots to reclaim time lost to repetitive tasks, aiming to make robotics accessible for households. The Eval Ops Associate will support eval operations by ensuring smooth logistics and translating eval data into actionable insights for the Machine Learning team.
Responsibilities:
• Build the data and reporting layer of eval ops – such as throughput, success/fail rates, incident trends – and distill insights to help the ML team make better decisions
• Coordinate the logistics that let us run evals at scale including sourcing and buying props, garments, and equipment for the physical environments, and keeping them standardized across sessions
• Scout and set up new spaces to expand eval capacity
• Create and enforce documentation and process
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong data analytics fluency
• High agency — you see a gap, scope it, and close it without waiting to be told, whether that's a broken dashboard or a prop run to the store
• Clear written and verbal communication to coordinate with ML and Memory Developers
• Someone adept at prioritizing competing requests, able to move quickly and in an organized manner
• Comfort with hands-on logistics — sourcing, purchasing, and physically setting up environments
• A level of hardcore-ness while still treating people like people
• Intermediate-level understanding of ML
Preferred:
• Previous experience in ops, research-ops, or data-ops at a fast-moving company
• Technical skills to build lightweight tooling or automations
• Exposure to ML evaluation, experimentation, or labeling workflows
• Ability to leverage AI to improve productivity
Company:
Sunday is a robotics startup that builds home robots that utilize AI to assist with household tasks. Founded in 2024, the company is headquartered in Mountain View, USA, with a team of 11-50 employees. The company is currently Early Stage.
