Student Publications | Student Government Association
Responsibilities
  • Attend scheduled student organization and department events to provide photography for archival purposes and for promotional, social media, and design material for Student Publications, recognized student organizations, and other affiliated offices and agencies.
  • Edit event photographs in Adobe Lightroom with efficient turnaround, sharing and communicating with organization contacts to provide photographs in a timely manner.
  • Correspond with clients via email, phone, and in person to resolve questions and conflicts relating to the function of the Student Publications office.
  • Maintain spreadsheets and records relating to the function of the office and services provided.
  • Provide on-demand printing services and other in-office clerical duties for student organizations and affiliated offices and agencies.
  • Work together with the Media Specialist to ensure the safety and upkeep of equipment and technology in the Student Publications space.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Knowledge of photography and cameras with detachable lenses & proficiency in Adobe Lightroom.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Possession of a DSLR camera with detachable lens functionality.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Suite software (InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, etc.)
  • Writing and communication skills/professional email and letter writing skills.
  • Outside-the-box thinking and creativity.
  • Resourceful and thoughtful problem solving.
  • Reading comprehension and attention to detail.
