Job description

OVERVIEW:

The purpose of the Production Operator role is to support daily manufacturing operations and ensure the safe, efficient, and consistent production of RS products. Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for assisting with production processes, operating equipment, monitoring product quality, and maintaining a safe work environment. The Production Operator works closely with production and maintenance teams to support operational goals, minimize downtime, and ensure products meet company quality standards.

As part of the RS team, this role contributes to a culture centered on safety, respect, integrity, quality, and teamwork, while promoting continuous improvement and professional growth. This position requires a strong balance of technical knowledge, adaptability, and collaboration to support both internal operations and overall production success.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning and sealing and Bondo applications to all size mandrels
  • Oversee preheat oven temperatures to ensure accuracy, and proper mandrel preparation
  • Responsible for tape application and security of spike rings as required
  • Knowledge of walking beams operations, movement, and HMI panel operations
  • Responsible for mandrel lubricant application
  • Adhere to all related paperwork for efficient process flow
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Report on all equipment related issues to the Production Supervisor
  • Ensure proper inventory of materials to perform the job
  • Assist the Engineering Department in the research, trial/development, selection of new processes and equipment to improve the production process
  • Assist in training and cross training production team members
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Comply with all Company Safety rules, Provincial and Federal Rules and Regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Training / Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 years of experience working within a warehouse, assembly or other manufacturing environment.
