Job description

Description:

The Ascendancy Groupโ€™s Mission

To be the unequaled provider of special operations forces (SOF) and Intelligence Community focused technical, service, and training-based solutions.

Overview

As a TAG Multi Domain Operations SME you will support Naval Special Warfareโ€™s premier multi-domain training exercise by developing and integrating Cyber, EW, and Space capabilities into complex operational scenarios. In this role, you will help build the training infrastructure needed to strengthen joint force readiness, enhance SOF integration, and replicate realistic threat environments across global theaters. Working alongside NSW leadership and exercise planners, you will ensure that multi-domain effects, threat emulation, and information warfare elements are fully incorporated into TRIDENT training events, enabling forces to train, validate, and certify mission-essential tasks in support of Combatant Command requirements.

Security Requirement:

  • Must have a current TS/SCI Clearance

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the coordination and integration of advanced cyber, space, and electronic warfare training.
  • Keep current on intelligence reporting systems, data repositories, and analytic tools, ensuring continuous access and awareness.
  • Create intelligence-driven scenarios and produce exercise-related intelligence products that mirror deployed operational environments and mission requirements.
  • Work closely with the scenario manager, Exercise Director, IO Planner, analysts, and human terrain specialists to fully develop the information environment in support of tactical, operational, and strategic training goals.
  • Build and refine training frameworks that enable IO-focused objectives, including synchronizing effects with joint partners.
  • Coordinate with DoD organizationsโ€”such as Joint Staff and Service Cyber/EW/Space program officesโ€”to leverage existing Programs of Record that replicate peer-level capabilities, including threat information warfare, GPS disruption, contested communications, EW, and cyber operations.
  • Design comprehensive exercise scenarios that provide realistic conditions for participants to achieve training objectives.
  • Execute assigned tasks independently with minimal oversight.
  • Assist in preparing and supporting IO briefings, exercise planning sessions, working groups, POA&M meetings, progress reviews after-action reviews, and engagements with distinguished visitors.
  • Support the IO Planner with asset tracking and management during exercise execution.
  • Identify, script, and recommend additional scenario events to enhance overall exercise realism and effectiveness.
  • During execution, monitor training audience reactions to scenario injects and help lane graders record observations and feedback in the Exercise Directorโ€™s designated tracking system.

Position Requirements:

  • Possess an understanding of Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), Space Operations and EW capabilities to include collections, analysis, and support to lethal and non-lethal targeting.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience coordinating, synchronizing, and executing Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO), Offensive/Defensive Cyber Operations, and Space Operations with Joint, Fleet, conventional forces, or COCOM.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of exercise experience utilizing analytical, planning, and organizational tools to meet 100% of defined mission requirements.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working within Joint SOF Operational and Strategic environments.
  • Minimum of five (5) years professional experience utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience analyzing or emulating adversary tradecraft and enemy threat systems.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a government liaison, documented by successful coordination between range control, testing units, and acquisition teams.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of applied experience in RF theory, EW techniques (EA/EP/ES), SATCOM, and SIGINT tradecraft.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in cyber threat emulation and network effect integration within EMSO scenarios.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Red Team or OPFOR role, with a focus on crafting realistic adversary behaviors for training environments.

The Ascendancy Group (TAG) was founded on and thrives based on relationships, reputation, and trust.
