Operations Consultant (Trading & Platform Onboarding)

Locations: Fort Mill, SC | Tempe, AZ | San Diego, CA

Are you passionate about investment operations, advisor support, and driving successful platform transformations? We are seeking an Operations Consultant to play a key role in a large-scale wealth management platform conversion initiative. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with financial advisors, trading teams, and cross-functional partners while helping deliver a seamless onboarding and adoption experience.

What You'll Do
  • Support financial advisors and internal teams during a major platform migration initiative
  • Guide advisor onboarding, training, and adoption of new trading and portfolio management tools
  • Deliver training through webinars, one-on-one sessions, office hours, and inbound support channels
  • Assist with portfolio rebalancing, model management, trading restrictions, equivalents, and block trading workflows
  • Review conversion and account setup data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy
  • Research and resolve operational, account, system, and trading-related inquiries
  • Document issues, track resolutions, and escalate complex concerns to appropriate partners
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of training materials, FAQs, job aids, and process documentation
  • Support testing efforts, defect tracking, and post-implementation stabilization activities
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Technology, Product, Training, and Business teams
QualificationsRequired
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services, investment operations, trading operations, or advisor support environments
  • Experience working directly with financial advisors, clients, or investment professionals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience collaborating across business and technology teams
Preferred
  • FINRA Series 7 license
  • Knowledge of equities, ETFs, mutual funds, and options
  • Experience with portfolio rebalancing and model-based portfolio management
  • Familiarity with trading instructions, account restrictions, and equivalents
  • Experience supporting platform onboarding, training, or system implementations
  • Background in conversion, acquisition, migration, or transformation projects
  • Experience with data validation, reconciliation, QA/UAT testing, or defect tracking
  • Familiarity with wealth management or portfolio management platforms

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
