Job description

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and cloud security. You will balance high-level architectural improvements with daily monitoring and collaborate with an offshore team.

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly driven, detail-oriented DevOps professional to join our team. You will step into an established Azure architecture and make it more robust. This role requires a unique balance: you must be analytical and data-driven in your decisions, yet comfortable taking calculated risks to optimize systems. You enjoy being hands-on ("in the weeds") while keeping an eye on big-picture strategy and effectively delegating tasks to our offshore team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Strategy: Build out portions of our existing Azure architecture to scale performance and reliability.
  • CI/CD & Automation: Design, perform, and streamline automated workflows and CI/CD operations utilizing GitHub Actions
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Monitor system performance, build informative dashboards, and configure proactive tasks and alerts.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Implement threat detection, manage vulnerability dependencies, and utilize security tools like Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner closely with internal stakeholders and delegate clear execution items to our extended offshore development and operations teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience working within Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
  • Proven mastery of CI/CD pipelines and executing workflows using GitHub Actions
  • Solid background in cybersecurity, covering threat detection, vulnerability scans, and dependency management.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks (e.g., Azure Monitor, Grafana, or Prometheus).
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with a data-driven approach to troubleshooting and risk management.
