Reporting to the Senior Regional Director of Operations, this role serves as the primary operational point of contact and escalation funnel between project teams and regional leadership. The Operations Manager focuses on developing people, enforcing quality and safety standards, driving process improvement, and ensuring consistent project execution in the areas of schedule, quality, and customer experience across all projects within the market. Regional budget and financial accountability reside with the Senior Regional Director of Operations.Essential Functions:* Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of operations staff within the market, including project managers, superintendents, field engineers, and project administrators/coordinators.* Serve as the primary operational point of communication and escalation between project teams and the Senior Regional Director of Operations, including investigation and resolution of challenges as they arise.* Manage employee development for the marketโ€™s operations staff, including performance management, training, onboarding, Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and compliance.* Provide leadership and guidance to promote the development and operational competency of project managers, superintendents, and other operations roles in the market.* Develop an operational culture and execution focused on ensuring projects deliver excellence in quality, schedule, and customer experience.* Implement and enforce quality standards across all projects in the market, ensuring compliance with contract documents, building codes, and regulations.* Prioritize safety protocols on all construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and sharing the companyโ€™s unwavering commitment to operating incident- and injury-free.* Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations, optimize resource allocation and staffing assignments, and increase productivity across the market.* Monitor project performance indicators, including schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction, and provide timely reporting, alerts, and recommendations to the Senior Regional Director of Operations on issues that threaten project outcomes.* Attend Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings with project managers and client-owners as needed, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and any concerns are promptly addressed.* Act as the main point of communication between the field and the office.* Develop strong and collaborative relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, helping to resolve conflicts, ensuring expectations are being met, and maintaining potential future opportunities.* Support the Senior Regional Director of Operations with staffing plans, recruiting, and hiring to meet the marketโ€™s operational needs.* Demonstrate leadership in all interactions, initiatives, and relationships that are consistent with the MYCON strategic plan, mission statement, and core values.* Ability to travel as needed.The information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job.
