Béquet Confections is renowned for our award-winning gourmet caramel products. We take pride in creating premium confections that bring joy to our customers. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team and lead our production operations to new heights.


Position Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for providing inspired leadership for production operations, order fulfillment, and shipping. This role involves making strategic decisions, developing and implementing operational policies and procedures, and working closely with all departments to optimize labor utilization and maximize production throughput, especially during our seasonal inventory build. The ideal candidate will be action-oriented, adept at solving real-time production challenges, and a great team builder.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Increasing overall efficiency and capacity in order to maximize/fulfill orders
  • Production planning
  • Collaborate with department leads to optimize labor allocation based on current production needs.
  • Identify production constraints and bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement changes in real-time to maximize output.
  • Lead and support the entire production process, ensuring the highest quality of our caramel products.
  • Make important policy and strategic decisions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to streamline production and shipping processes.
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • React to the dynamic needs of the business by reallocating labor resources as necessary to meet production goals.
  • Work closely with the Production Lead to prioritize tasks and ensure smooth transitions between different phases of production.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment by motivating and developing associates.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in a related field
  • Proven experience in an operations management role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
  • Experience in developing and implementing operational policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and adjust to changing business needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Action-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with KPI development and monitoring.
