Job description

Operations Manager

Currently, we are looking to find an exceptional Operations Manager that can aid in running and overseeing the regulatory and safety compliance for this food production facility. The main areas of focus will center around oversight of plant maintenance, coordinating with plant team members, and various other managerial roles within the plant. This role will serve as an integral contributor to further company growth and development. The Plant Manager will work closely with the General Manager on the direction and strategic planning of the plant.

Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all plant-related, regulatory, and safety compliance tasks
  • Oversees all plant maintenance activities, including maintenance team members
  • Responsible for assigning and managing the execution of all maintenance projects
  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling plant operating budget
  • Develops options and strategies for improved manufacturing, equipment, and overall business results
  • Plan around processes to ensure all company goals are being met
  • Ensure all permitting and licensing is in compliance
  • Ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented for internal and external customer complaints
  • Maintain effective departmental quality procedures
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy of raw materials and finished goods
  • Monitor workload factors and workflow to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools, and equipment.
  • Oversee production planning and scheduling
  • Develop training plans for direct reports, including succession planning
  • Ensure employees are effectively trained to meet expectations of safety and GMP's

Operations Manager Experience:

  • A high degree of analysis, problem-solving, and creativity
  • Experience with SAP
  • Proven Project Management, planning, organizational and decision making skills
