Robert Half is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations for our client. This role will oversee the close cycle, financial reporting, compliance activities, and day-to-day accounting functions while helping strengthen processes across the department. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to guide a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Direct the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process to ensure deadlines are met and financial results are reliable.
• Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules to maintain accuracy across the ledger.
• Monitor general ledger activity, investigate variances, and identify financial patterns, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and oversee the delivery of timely financial statements and related management reporting.
• Lead daily accounting operations across payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger functions to support efficient execution.
• Manage tax-related accounting and reporting requirements, including sales and use tax, property tax, and other regulatory filings.
• Oversee fixed asset records and accounting treatment for additions, depreciation, transfers, and disposals, while also ensuring proper inventory valuation practices.
• Coordinate external audit requests, organize supporting documentation, and maintain strong internal controls and audit preparedness.
• Improve accounting workflows, reporting tools, and standard procedures to increase efficiency, scalability, and analytical visibility.
• Supervise, coach, and develop accounting team members while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility within an accounting function.
• Strong background managing month-end close activities, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting or leading financial statement audits and preparing audit-ready documentation.
• Proficiency in reviewing and preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidated financial information.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and its application in a business environment.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate processes, strengthen controls, and implement operational improvements.
