Operations Manager
West Jordan, UT
Position Summary
Shift: Sunday-Friday (Start time will be between 6:00 AM-9:00AM)
Salary: 75K plus quarterly bonus
Capstone Logistics is seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to lead daily warehouse and distribution operations within our Frito-Lay partnership. This leader will be responsible for managing 4 Team Leads and over 50 warehouse associates while driving safety, productivity, quality, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment, develops strong teams, holds employees accountable, and continuously improves operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop 4 Team Leads and 50+ warehouse associates.
  • Manage daily warehouse operations including picking, loading, unloading, replenishment, inventory control, and shipping activities.
  • Ensure all customer service and operational KPIs are achieved or exceeded.
  • Drive a strong safety culture through training, coaching, audits, and accountability.
  • Monitor labor performance, staffing levels, and productivity metrics to ensure efficient operations.
  • Analyze operational data and identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce costs, and eliminate waste.
  • Conduct daily startup meetings, shift handoffs, and performance reviews.
  • Investigate operational issues and perform root cause analysis to implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Partner with Frito-Lay leadership to maintain exceptional service levels and communication.
  • Develop employee engagement initiatives focused on retention, training, and career development.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and food-grade warehouse standards.
  • Manage attendance, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Support workforce planning and staffing strategies to meet changing business demands.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.

Qualifications
Required
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience managing supervisors, leads, or frontline managers.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Proven ability to drive productivity and accountability in a high-volume environment.
  • Experience with labor planning, staffing, and performance metrics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as business needs require.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain or Third-Party experience preferred
  • BS/BA Degree or Associates Degree with Equivalent Experience is a plus but no required
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Proven track record in supervision of warehouse employees including Hiring, Training, and Termination.
  • Proven experience in providing high levels of customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Experience in food and beverage distribution.
  • Experience with WMS systems, labor management systems, and KPI reporting.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Experience managing 50+ hourly employees.
