Bestway Services is a leading commercial janitorial services company providing cleaning, floor care, and facility support services to commercial, government, and public-sector clients. Our success is built on strong leadership, operational accountability, exceptional customer service, and consistent service delivery.


We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations across multiple customer contracts and field teams. This position is responsible for ensuring contracts are properly staffed, quality standards are maintained, floor care and specialty services are executed to company standards, customer expectations are met, and operational leaders are held accountable for performance.


The Operations Manager partners closely with Executive Leadership to strengthen operational execution, improve staffing continuity, drive accountability, and support continued company growth. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring regular field presence, sound decision-making, and a commitment to operational excellence.


Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually depending on experience

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday
  • Full-time, salaried exempt position
  • Occasional evenings and weekends as operational needs require
  • Travel required (approximately 50%)


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations across multiple commercial janitorial contracts and customer locations.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Supervisors, and field personnel.
  • Drive operational performance by monitoring staffing continuity, service quality, customer responsiveness, contract performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct regular site visits, operational inspections, and quality assurance follow-up to ensure contract compliance and service excellence.
  • Respond proactively to customer concerns, operational challenges, staffing shortages, and service issues.
  • Lead workforce planning and operational response during emergencies, employee absences, and urgent service needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, customer requirements, and operational procedures.
  • Support contract startups, customer onboarding, transitions, and operational readiness for new service locations.
  • Partner with Executive Leadership regarding operational performance, staffing concerns, customer relationships, and continuous operational improvement.
  • Maintain schedule flexibility to support after-hours operational needs when necessary.
  • Travel to active contract locations, customer meetings, inspections, and future service locations as needed (approximately 50%).
Requirements:
  • Minimum five (5) years of operations leadership experience within the commercial janitorial industry or closely related service industries.
  • Experience leading multiple customer locations and managing operational teams.
  • Experience supervising Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Supervisors, or similar operational leadership positions.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial janitorial operations, including floor care programs, cleaning equipment, chemicals, quality assurance, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with commercial floor care equipment such as auto scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, carpet extractors, and related janitorial equipment is required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing staffing, quality assurance, customer service, and operational performance.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards and operational compliance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and the ability to learn internal systems, including SharePoint and Paylocity.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout assigned service areas.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Multi-site operational leadership experience.
  • Experience with commercial or government service contracts.
  • Experience leading startup operations, transitions, or new account implementations.
