About the Team - Energy Storage Supply Chain (ESS SCM)

The Energy Storage System Supply Chain Team leads sourcing, supplier development, and qualification of outsourced components and assemblies for Peak Energy's Battery ESS Products. The team is accountable for the technical and commercial performance of our ESS supply chain, driving quality, cost, and delivery outcomes across a complex global supplier base.  

About The Role - Global Supply Chain Management Intern  

Peak Energy is looking for a Global Supply Chain Management Intern - ESS, to support the sourcing and management of our ESS direct materials. As a GSM Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in the strategy and operations behind launching and scaling a cutting-edge battery product. You'll support key initiatives across sourcing, logistics, planning, and supplier engagement for our next-generation sodium-ion battery program. 

This is an exciting opportunity to learn how to build a supply chain from the ground up and to make a meaningful impact on domestic clean tech manufacturing. 

What You'll Do (Responsibilities) 

  • Assist in the development and execution of supply chain strategies for ESS components 
  • Conduct supplier research and help draft RFIs/RFQs for critical components 
  • Support supplier onboarding, including vetting, qualification, and data management 
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) builds by tracking material readiness, managing build plans, and ensuring on-time Clear to Build (CTB) status 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to support NPI & Pilot builds 
  • Assist with logistics planning and cost optimization for international and domestic shipments 
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders to support strategic decision-making 

What You'll Bring (Qualifications)

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field 
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; proficient in Excel and/or data analysis tools 
  • Interest in clean tech, energy storage, and/or domestic manufacturing policy 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities 
  • Self-starter with a willingness to dive into ambiguity and solve problems 
  • Prior internship or project experience in supply chain, operations, or procurement is a plus
