Operations Lead Job Description

 

The Operations Lead is responsible for supporting the store management in the day-to-day operations of the location to ensure the proper conditions for success are being created and completed. The overall responsibility includes:   

  • Business Results; manage in-store processes; manage and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of business-critical workflows, strong attention to detail and organizational skills to develop, implement and optimize processes
  • Consumer experience; effective communication skills with cross-functional partners and internal store team
  • Accountable; holds self-accountable to all Lucchese standards of performance, evaluate operational performance and identify gaps in operations
  • Ambassador; embodies the brand and the heritage that has made Lucchese the pinnacle brand in the West, upholds Lucchese expectations for quality store experiences for internal consumers

Scope of job:  

The Operations Lead will support the front of house and sales team deliver exceptional experiences by always making sure the store is set up for success through operational excellence. In this role, you will ensure back and front of house organization, maintain data integrity and be the gatekeeper of all products in and out of the store. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Accurately receive and tag retail goods upon arrival, following with proper placement on both sales floor and stock room
  • Ensure stock room inventory is organized by style and size
  • Place and monitor store sales orders and transfer orders
  • Keep record and follow progress of all pending orders
  • Assist and support sales during peak times getting product quickly and efficiently to the sales team to provide a seamless experience
  • Responsible for store safety initiatives and practices
  • Proactively plans for store supply needs within budget parameters
  • Manage customer boot stretching processes
  • Manage customer restoration and inspection processes 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Comfortable using an intricate point of sale and inventory systems.
  • Open availability to work full-time, 5 days a week.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education, Experience, and/or Certifications:

  • Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A Minimum of 1+ years retail operations or logistical experience required. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to move with purpose and maneuver around the sales floor, small stockrooms, and office areas.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and climb a ladder frequently
  • Must be able to squat and bend 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
