Responsible for performing all duties necessary to provide for the effective daily operation of all departmental services and programs. Responsible for identifying potential and existing drug related problems and taking appropriate actions to prevent or resolve them. Serves as the medication expert on the health care team and takes an active role in the care of patients. Provides education to the community, other health care providers, pharmacy interns, and pharmacy residents. Maintain/enhance pharmacotherapeutic skills through the reading of primary literature, national guidelines and/or medical references Performs related duties as assigned.Position Details:Qualifications Education: Requires a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or at least three (3) years experience as a Staff Pharmacist. Licensure: Current Missouri Pharmacy licensure. Experience: None. Certifications: Missouri Board of Pharmacy Medication Therapy Services Certificate within 90 days of hire. Other: Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Must be attentive to detail and accurate in work. Must be able to communicate in an effective and appropriate manner with others. Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills are required. A caring, friendly and professional approach is expected in all communication with patients, families, visitors and other employees. Flexibility to adjust to changing conditions and details of the job is necessary. Must complete departmental orientation requirements and any age specific competencies within the first 3 months of employment. AHA advanced cardiac life support provider course or internal module and competencies specific to practice focus must be completed within the first 6 months of employment.
