Job Title: Account Executive I

Job Location: Saskatoon


Why this Role Matters

The mission of the Account Executive I is to drive revenue by acquiring new channel partners and expanding relationships with existing partners in the SMB space.The incumbent of this role demonstrates a proven capability to prospect, engage, and close new business using established sales methodologies, and will be responsible for executing outbound sales activities, delivering tailored product demonstrations, and onboarding new partners. Acting in alignment with our core principles to Be Coachable and Ship It, this role focuses on executing routine sales tasks efficiently using predefined AI prompts and guided tools to maximize outreach volume and pipeline growth.


What You'll Own

New Partner Acquisition & Revenue Growth:

  • Identify and prospect ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) leads via ABM strategies, remarketing, and inbound SDR leads.
  • Leverage AI-enhanced platforms to assist with lead scoring, email personalization, and outreach sequencing.
  • Conduct discovery calls to uncover business challenges and position Vendasta solutions accordingly.
  • Deliver product demos that align with the partner's goals, using AI-generated insights and visual aids to improve clarity and impact.

Sales Process & Pipeline Management:

  • Utilize sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger, MEDDPICC) supported by AI-assisted data to tailor buyer journeys.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline through AI-aided follow-ups, task automation, and real-time engagement tracking.
  • Collaborate with SDRs, Marketing, and Enablement to continuously refine demand generation and lead handoffs.
  • Navigate objections and negotiations with data-supported reasoning, guided by AI sales assistants and templates.

Partner Success & Onboarding:

  • Support the onboarding of newly acquired partners, incorporating AI-generated success plans and implementation templates.
  • Align setup activities with partner goals and proactively flag onboarding risks using available AI signals and insights.
  • Coordinate with Onboarding and Customer Success teams to improve early partner retention metrics.
  • Contribute feedback to help refine onboarding content and experience, using AI-driven survey and sentiment tools.


How We'll Measure Success

Role Performance Metrics:

  • Quota Attainment: Consistent achievement of the baseline target of $10,000/month in net new revenue.
  • Outbound Activity: Maintain a high volume of 25 emails and 25 calls per day by leveraging AI-assisted workflows for quality execution.
  • Next-Level Readiness Target: Demonstrate readiness for progression by exceeding monthly quota targets by 20-30% within the evaluation period.

Team Performance Metrics:

  • Collective pipeline growth and average lead-to-opportunity conversion rates.
  • Team-wide adoption rates and efficiency improvements through the use of standardized AI sales workflows.
  • Average partner onboarding duration and early partner retention metrics.


What You'll Bring

  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or a related field: Preferably within a SaaS or technology environment.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business or a related field preferred).
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal formats
  • Proficiency in navigating modern CRM environments and executing sales frameworks like MEDDPICC and Challenger Sale.
  • Hands-on experience executing routine sales optimization tasks using predefined AI prompts (e.g., AI email generators, call prep assistants).
  • Strong tech-stack capability, including familiarity with LinkedIn, Google Docs, and relevant search/social platform exposure (e.g., Meta or Adwords).
