Job description

A growing commercial organization is seeking a Business Development Support Executive to support business development by bringing structure, organization, and follow-through to a fast-moving commercial environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organized, commercially aware, and comfortable working with senior leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams to turn complex business activity into clear priorities, decisions, and execution.

Compensation & Highlights
Compensation:
  • $95,000 - $105,000 per year, based on experience.
  • This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Providence, Rhode Island, with the opportunity to work closely with Business Development, Commercial Execution, Finance, Operations, Quality, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities of the Business Development Support Executive:
  • Maintain visibility across commercial opportunities, customer matters, commitments, decisions, and emerging priorities while helping the Director of Business Development stay focused on high-value business matters.
  • Gather, organize, and analyze customer information, commercial history, business risks, and supporting documentation to prepare clear, concise, decision-ready materials and communications for senior leadership.
  • Prepare the Director of Business Development for customer meetings and commercial discussions while handling appropriate mid-level customer communication and documenting key decisions and commitments.
  • Coordinate closely with Commercial Execution and cross-functional teams to ensure established business decisions, customer commitments, and priorities are clearly communicated and transitioned into execution.
  • Manage multiple priorities with strong follow-through, attention to detail, sound judgment, and timely escalation while identifying risks, gaps, and matters requiring senior leadership involvement.

Qualifications of the Business Development Support Executive:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, marketing, finance, communications, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant experience in business operations, commercial coordination, account management, sales operations, executive support, or project coordination.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining visibility and context.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to organize complex information into concise, executive-ready communications.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence interacting with customers, senior executives, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and modern business productivity platforms; experience with CRM, project-management, or commercial workflow systems and customer-facing commercial activity is preferred.
