Job description

DevOps Engineer
Location: HILLSBORO, OREGON- Resource should Relocate HILLSBORO, OREGON, USA post Covid .
Scope and Responsibilities:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will:
• Write new & modify existing terraform IaC (Infrastructure as Code) in a highly interconnected system.
• Own puppet code that automates the configuration of multiple COTS (Commercial off the shelf) applications
• Coordinate changes with multiple concurrent projects
• Build custom scripts and automations which are deemed necessary for improving security, reliability, maintainability, availability and performance for our platform
• Take ownership of platform maintenance activities which include (not limited to) OS and Application Patching.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5-8 years additional relevant professional experience.
• Strong Terraform knowledge specifically related to AWS components
• Strong puppet enterprise knowledge, including deployment process and code
• Strong AWS knowledge, including but not limited to EC2, Lambda, S3, Security Groups.
• Working knowledge of Jenkins & CircleCI with a passion for automation and
• Proficient understanding of code versioning using Git (GitHub)
• Good hands on experience in Linux and database administration.
• Strong debugging skills
• Great communication skills
Desired Qualifications
• Proven experience gathering requirements and executing in an ambiguous environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Hands on experience with Redhat GlusterFS.
• Experience with participating in projects in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment
• Exposure to Agile, ideally a strong background with the SAFe methodology
• Skill set on any monitoring or observability tool will be a value add.
