Role- Data Platform DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage automated infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and Ansible.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments using tools like Azure DevOps , fluxCD, ArgoCD or Jenkins.
  • Architect and support scalable, resilient, and secure Azure cloud environments tailored for microservices and cloud-native applications.
  • Automate operational tasks including patching, backups, monitoring, and alerting using scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Integrate infrastructure automation with service management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Azure Monitor, Atlassian Servicedesk).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues across compute, storage, networking, and security layers.
  • Implement and manage container orchestration platforms (e.g., AKS/Kubernetes) with automated scaling, monitoring, and logging.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and regulatory standards through automated guardrails and policy enforcement.
  • Perform regular performance tuning, cost optimization, and capacity planning across cloud resources.
  • Maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture, automation workflows, and operational procedures.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, DevOps , or cloud engineering.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and infrastructure automation.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible for provisioning and configuration management.
  • scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and tooling.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including pipeline creation, artifact management, and deployment automation.
  • Deep understanding of Azure services such as AKS, App Services, Functions, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Cache, Storage Accounts, Key Vaults, Application Gateway, Service Bus, and Log Analytics.
  • Solid grasp of cloud networking concepts including VNETs, NSGs, load balancers, private endpoints, private DNS and hybrid connectivity.
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes/AKS).
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, ELK stack).
  • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001) and implementation in cloud environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL) including performance and connectivity issues.
  • Experience with identity and access management using Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and managed identities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, security, and operations.
