Overview
Independently develops, cultivates and coordinates carrier, internal and external partner relationships across all product lines. Reviews, analyzes and evaluates Agency relationships, markets and programs in support of overall business strategies. Handles special projects, product and carrier/partners analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities
  • Acts as a primary representative of Paychex Insurance Agency (PIA) with Health and Benefits (H&B) carriers, general agents and third-party administrators in developing and managing partner relationships to problem solve, support and build positive relationships.
  • Proactively work with carriers and partners to address potential market, industry, regulatory and sales issues.
  • Acts as a point of contact for PIA Field Sales, Operations and management; oversees all daily interactions relating to carriers / partners to ensure consistent communication of program information and effective issue resolution.
  • Provides initiative and leadership in carrier and product reviews, compensation discussions, and product and relationship development.
  • Once targeted business concerns are identified by management this role coordinates execution of market initiatives with carriers and business partners to maximize the impact on partner sales volume.
  • Provides feedback and recommendations to Business Development Manager in respects to all aspects of carrier relationships, plans and programs in order to improve sales productivity and revenue.
  • Analyzes program and partner results on a continuous basis to determine best courses of action and geographic areas of focus in order to maximize impact on the sales productivity, revenue and efficiencies.
  • Demonstrates and maintains current knowledge of industry trends, practices and product knowledge.
  • Works with a sense of urgency and exhibits continuous improvement mindset.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the general purpose of the position's function.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
  • 8+ years in insurance, sales, or business development
  • Experience managing relationships with H&B and/or P&C carriers, general agents, or TPAs - Required
  • Active Life & Health insurance license, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire - Preferred

Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is USD $81,518.18/Yr - $128,100.00/Yr lease keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
