About the Position
Responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, supporting revenue growth, and executing business development strategies across the ArchKey platform. This role focuses on pipeline development, proposal support, and market engagement, while collaborating closely with senior leadership, marketing, and operating companies to drive new business opportunities and expand existing accounts, in alignment with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives, and regulations.

Day in the Life
  • Supports senior leadership in executing business development strategies aligned with company growth targets.
  • Actively engages in customer outreach, relationship development, and project pursuit efforts across multiple operating companies and geographies.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, identifying opportunities to expand services and increase revenue.
  • Supports account planning and ensures consistent customer engagement across the platform.
  • Identifies and qualifies new business opportunities through market research, networking, and direct customer interaction.
  • Maintains and actively manages a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Collaborates with marketing and internal stakeholders to support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring accuracy, quality, and alignment with customer needs.
  • Gathers and analyzes market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive data to inform pursuit strategies and contribute to business planning discussions.
  • Coordinates with internal teams (Operations, Estimating, Marketing, and Leadership) to support pursuit strategies, ensuring alignment on messaging, value proposition, and delivery approach.
  • Supports account management efforts by maintaining regular communication with clients, tracking satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for repeat business.
  • Tracks and reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and key performance metrics.
  • Maintains accurate data in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Participates in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote ArchKey's brand and expand professional networks.
  • Assists in the execution of the business development event calendar and supports marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Provides informal guidance or mentorship to less experienced team members.
  • Consistently makes decisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure the safety and health of self and others.
  • Utilizes LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to ensure the most efficient operations, processes, and activities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in business administration, marketing, construction management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in business development, account management, sales, or marketing, preferably in the electrical construction or related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting sales targets and managing multiple pursuits simultaneously with strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic financial documents, contracts, and project-related materials (plans, drawings, specifications preferred).
  • Experience supporting business development or marketing strategies and executing customer engagement plans.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems and proposal development processes.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with solid business acumen.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across a matrixed organization.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across multiple operating companies, teams, and regions.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
