Job description

About the Role:

As a People Operations Business Partner, you will advocate for PriceLabs' culture and values, partnering with business leaders to build high-performing teams - ensuring all people decisions are grounded in data. You will be the connective tissue between People strategy and day-to-day execution, with a strong orientation toward leveraging AI and automation to make our people processes faster, smarter, and more scalable.

You will be essential in advancing a more diverse, accessible, equitable, and inclusive PriceLabs team through our onboarding, growth, engagement, retention, and inclusion practices across our remote, global team.

What You'll Do:
  • Onboarding & Offboarding

    • Own end-to-end onboarding - culture walkthroughs, asset/access provisioning, BGV in partnership with vendors.

    • Automate onboarding workflows (offer letters, welcome packs, Day 1 checklists) via AI tools and HRIS integrations. [Non-negotiable]

    • Manage offboarding end-to-end - exit interviews, knowledge transfer, system access revocation.

  • People Partnering

    • Partner with leaders on people-related conflicts, decisions, and concerns.

    • SPOC for team queries on policies, culture, and HR processes.

    • Run periodic check-ins to gauge productivity, flag risks, and support retention.

    • Strategize and execute online and offline engagement activities end-to-end.

  • Policy, Compliance & Documentation

    • Own all People Ops communications - templates, policies, announcements, handbook entries.

    • Vet HR-related paperwork and contracts; issue letters and documents within TATs.

    • Partner with leaders to build policies aligned to PriceLabs' vision and values.

  • AI-Powered HR Operations

    • Identify and eliminate manual HR processes using AI and automation tools (Claude, Zapier, or similar). [Non-negotiable]

    • Build and maintain automated dashboards for headcount, attrition, engagement, and compliance. [Non-negotiable]

    • Default to automation-first when designing or inheriting any HR process.

  • Retention, Performance & Vendor Management

    • Strategize and execute attrition reduction and retention programs.

    • Support performance review cycles - data aggregation, manager briefing docs, completion nudges.

    • Negotiate and manage vendor partnerships - insurance, BGV, POSH, legal, compliance, swag.

    • Coordinate payroll changes with Finance within agreed TATs; manage offsites and workations end-to-end.

About You:

Experience

  • 5-7 years in People Operations or HRBP roles.

  • Experience in a remote, global team of 200+ people preferred.

  • Degree in HR, Psychology, Business, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of labour laws and employee relations across geographies. [Preferred]

AI & Automation - Non-Negotiable

  • Active, practical usage of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, or similar) in day-to-day HR work.

  • Ability to build or commission automation workflows using Zapier, Apps Script, or HRIS-native tools.

  • Comfortable extracting and structuring HRIS/ATS data exports for reporting or AI-assisted processing.

  • Experience using AI for document generation, policy drafting, and communications at scale.

  • AI-powered dashboards or prompt engineering experience. [Preferred]

Data & Spreadsheets - Non-Negotiable

  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets - pivot tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, data validation.

  • Able to independently build people dashboards from raw HRIS/payroll exports.

  • Experience maintaining formula-driven HR master trackers (headcount, attrition, compensation, compliance).

  • Apps Script or Excel macros for automating spreadsheet tasks. [Preferred]

Core Competencies

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication; close attention to detail.

  • Data-fluent - can analyze trends, interpret people metrics, and recommend action.

  • Empathetic and discreet with sensitive people matters; strong stakeholder management.

  • Self-starter who operates well with minimal guidance in a fast-moving environment.

Tools

  • Advanced proficiency in Slack, Google Workspace, and/or Microsoft 365.
