Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Business Operations Associate to provide multi-faceted administrative and operational support to Blue Ops at the Valdosta (GA) facility.

This role requires independent judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage complex, non-standard situations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

The Business Operations Associate is responsible for overseeing office operations, coordinating cross-functional activities, and supporting leadership by managing priorities and resolving operational challenges with minimal direction. This individual will serve as a key point of coordination across internal teams and external partners, ensuring seamless execution of day-to-day operations and special initiatives.

The ideal candidate anticipates needs, exercises sound judgment on important matters, and operates autonomously to ensure leadership remains focused on strategic priorities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of Blue Ops in Valdosta, GA, exercising independent judgment to address non-routine operational matters.
  • Direct office administration, facility management, and vendor relationships, making decisions to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations.
  • Coordinate logistics for company events, executive meetings, and customer engagements, adapting plans based on evolving needs and priorities.
  • Manage complex scheduling and operational coordination, resolving conflicts and prioritizing competing demands with minimal supervision.
  • Serve as a liaison across operations, engineering, manufacturing and leadership teams to facilitate alignment and execution.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and independently develop and implement process improvements.
  • Support leadership by proactively addressing administrative and operational challenges before escalation is required.
  • Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality while handling sensitive information and business matters.
  • Ensure operational readiness, professionalism, and consistency across the facility.
  • Exercise sound judgment in ambiguous situations and escalate issues only when appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in operations, executive support, or office management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform non-routine administrative and operational work with minimal supervision.
  • Proven experience exercising independent judgment and decision-making on important matters.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing demands.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with executives, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and act without direction.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with executives, manufacturing teams, and external vendors.
  • Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or technology companies preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Must be able to walk, stand, and navigate large indoor and outdoor facilities for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in designated areas or when performing specific tasks, in accordance with safety protocols and company policy.
  • May be required to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch during inspections, maintenance walk-throughs, or emergency response situations.
  • Regular exposure to facility operations including noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, and industrial equipment.
  • Occasional off-hours or weekend work required for emergency facility responses or projects as needed
  • Requires frequent use of a computer and other standard office equipment for documentation, communication, and coordination tasks.
