Job description

Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to join our Sturtevant team. This role is primarily responsible for office administration, along with ensuring smooth day to day operations, handling customer interactions, and supporting our sales and service teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Answer phone calls, transfer callers to proper department or location as needed.
  • Greeting customers to the office, ensure they relate to the correct personnel.
  • Monitor the ordering of office, break room, safety supplies as well as other general maintenance items.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • File and organize invoices and other location paperwork.
  • Record customer payments in operating system correctly and timely.
  • Review weekly AR report to ensure prompt collection of payments.
  • Receive and confirm all small package inventory items per company process.
  • Packing and shipping small package inventory items as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining our fleet of trucks and trailers, following all DOT regulations
  • Help in the delivery of unit inventory as needed, which will include the printing of bar codes and confirming receipt to order confirmation.
  • Balance daily cash drawer
  • Assist with company events (Monthly lunchins, birthday celebrations, etc.).
  • Aid with accounts payable and accounts receivable, including coding of invoices and payment collections.
  • Support the location and companies Parts Departments, Service Departments, and Sales Departments.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED needed; experience in office setting preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with cash drawer transactions preferred.
  • Proficient in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.
  • Capable of working both with various team members as well as independently.
  • Able to collaborate with team members in a positive and professional manner.
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to meet our customers’ needs.
  • Able to work in a busy work environment that may at times require enhanced multitasking and selfprioritization.
  • High attention to details.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Physical Demands: While performing the job duties, the employee will be frequently required to use their hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 85lbs.
