Event Operations Assistant - Music on the Beach (Summer 2026)
Organization: North Tahoe Chamber
Location: Kings Beach State Recreation Area
The North Tahoe Community Alliance is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Event Operations Assistant to support the successful execution of our beloved Music on the Beach summer concert series. This is a 10-week live music series held on Friday evenings, bringing together residents and visitors for a vibrant community experience on the shores of Lake Tahoe.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on event work, is comfortable with light technical setup, and thrives in a collaborative, outdoor environment.
Schedule & Compensation
  • Event Dates: Fridays, June 19 - September 4, 2026 (excluding July 3rd & August 7th)
  • Typical Shift: 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM (may conclude as early as 9:30 PM)
  • Compensation: $23-25/hour
  • Total Commitment: 10 Fridays, June 19 - September 4, 2026 (excluding July 3rd & August 7th)

Position Overview
The Event Operations Assistant plays a key role in ensuring smooth event execution from setup through breakdown. This position supports event logistics, basic technical operations, equipment transport, and volunteer coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Event Setup
  • Assist with unloading and organizing equipment from on-site storage (tables, signage, shade structures, etc.)
  • Set up event infrastructure in alignment with site plans and staff direction
  • Transport beverage carts and supplies from the North Tahoe Event Center to the Kings Beach State Recreation Area
  • Support basic technology setup (e.g., smoothly operate and trouble shoot sales technology, coordinating with sound team, assisting with power or equipment as needed)

During Event Operations
  • Monitor and restock event supplies, including beverages
  • Provide on-the-ground support to NTC staff and vendors
  • Serve as a point of contact for volunteers and vendors, helping direct tasks and ensure coverage
  • Maintain a welcoming, professional presence with attendees and partners

Event Breakdown
  • Assist with systematic teardown of all event equipment and infrastructure
  • Return supplies, beverage carts, and beverages to designated locations
  • Ensure storage areas are organized and secured

Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor event environment
