We are looking for a true go-getter and a leader (someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes total ownership of logistics, and wants to actively assist in managing daily operations, staffing, hiring, and budgeting). If you want a role where your leadership makes a direct impact and you can still be done with your workday while the sun is still up, this is the perfect position for you.

IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE APPLYING: Please note that while we are interviewing and selecting our candidate now, the official start date for this position will not be until August 1, 2026. Please ensure this timeline aligns with your availability and employment needs before submitting your application.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing

  • Daily Operations and Route Management: Monitor early morning school routes in real-time to ensure absolute punctuality and safety. Act as a primary leader on the dispatch board to support active trips and driver report times.
  • Operational Management and Growth: Take an active role in broader operational management tasks. You will assist leadership with daily operations oversight, workforce staffing, interviewing or hiring new team members, and managing operational budgeting.
  • Client and Team Communication: Serve as a primary, professional point of contact for parents and school officials while effectively leading and coordinating our team of drivers.
  • Logistics and Scheduling: Assist with entering and auditing reservations, updating weekly driver schedules, and cross-referencing routes with school calendars to proactively account for closures or dismissals.
  • Administrative Excellence: Maintain accurate student headcount databases, assist with preparing contracts and rosters, and provide comprehensive daily operational recaps to executive management.

Qualifications

  • Reliability: You must be a naturally punctual person who can consistently start at 5:00 AM.
  • Tech Literacy: High proficiency in G Suite (Sheets, Docs, Email). Experience with LimoAnywhere or similar dispatch software is a major plus.
  • Leadership Mindset: A proactive professional who does not wait for direction, takes initiative, and can confidently lead a team during high-pressure morning windows.
  • Communication: Ability to maintain a professional, friendly, and receptive tone with parents, school officials, and drivers.
  • Detail-Oriented: You should be someone who enjoys "double-checking" and ensuring every detail is accurate.
  • Business Savvy: Experience or strong interest in the operational side of a business, including staffing schedules, hiring pipelines, and budget compliance.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Why Join Thoroughbred?

  • Consistent Schedule: No late nights or rotating shifts.
  • Stable Environment: Work with a respected leader in local transportation.
