Job Description Our client is a growing Food and Beverages manufacturing organisation, currently with 8 sites and growing. They are looking for a strong Controls Engineer The role: The Controls Engineer is responsible for the implementation of technical projects/new equipment, maintenance of the industrial network, ongoing PLC work, shop floor data collection, and will assist with resolution of technical issues with the plant. Essential Responsibilities: All plant personnel have the responsibility to monitor and report any deviations from our Food Safety and Food Quality (HACCP & SQF) programs to your immediate supervisor. Ensure plant industrial systems are maintained at optimum efficiency. Program systems to interact with the industrial network such as corporate ERP or factory efficiency systems. Be a resource for data mining for plant and coordinate operations. Assist in implementation of programming for plant capital projects. Make necessary changes to current systems to meet operational needs. Participate in the selection process for new equipment. Assist with implementation of projects as chosen by the plant teams. Support the Maintenance Manager during project implementation. SQF Support - Responsible for development, training, implementation and compliance to the SQF program. Knowledge & Experience: Degree or Certification in Engineering or equivalent work experience required. 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment or industrial programming. 3-5 years' experience in management and employee development. Experience working with cross functional teams, in a dynamic environment. Thorough understanding of plant operations. Beverage Bottling Experience
