Job description

Position: Kitchen Assistant Lead                                                                                   Reports to: Kitchen Lead

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant Lead to join our team! Our Kitchen Assistant lead will be working closely with the kitchen Lead and rest of the team. This includes prepping of sandwiches and lunch items, testing new and existing products or ingredients, and preparing product for each day.

In this role, you will have the chance to apply your problem-solving skills and showcase your knowledge of preparing food and principles! You may work odd hours on occasion, including evening shifts, to accommodate our customer and operational needs. There will be opportunities to grow your skills, learn our unique processes, and with time, develop into a subject matter expert!

  • Make all food orders as requested in a consistent and timely matter
  • Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare soup and salad for the next day’s orders
  • Prepare veggies and other items needed for daily orders
  • Manage inventory of food supplies
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Lead out with other team members to ensure food is produced and delivered to customers in accordance with our policies.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Ensure cleaning and dishwashing duties are completed each shift.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock management
  • Other duties as assigned
