Job description

Farm & Property Operations Assistant

Root to Rise Farm – Pitt Meadows, BC

Do you enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and taking pride in a beautiful, productive property?

Root to Rise Farm is looking for a reliable, physically fit, and self-motivated team member who can help maintain our produce farm, gardens, and grounds. This is not a position for someone who waits to be told what to do. We are looking for someone who notices what needs attention and takes initiative to get it done.

What You'll Do

  • Operate and maintain a farm tractor (John Deere) and farm equipment
  • Mow lawns and maintain landscaped areas
  • Use landscaping equipment safely and effectively
  • Plant, weed, water, prune, and harvest crops
  • Monitor gardens and growing areas for issues requiring attention
  • Maintain pathways, irrigation, and general farm infrastructure
  • Assist with seasonal farm projects and property improvements
  • Keep equipment, tools, and work areas clean and organized

What We're Looking For

You are someone who:

  • Has experience operating tractors, mowers, and landscaping equipment
  • Has gardening, landscaping, farming, or horticultural experience
  • Is physically fit and comfortable performing outdoor work in various weather conditions
  • Notices what needs to be done without being asked
  • Can identify when crops need harvesting, watering, weeding, or care
  • Takes ownership and pride in your work
