Job description

Witco in is currently seeking a Commercial Operations Assistant to oversee both the maintenance and repair operations of the company buildings and grounds, and vehicle fleet, ensuring safety, compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This role also provides transportation and delivery services, assuring safety and compliance. The combined facility operations with fleet operations, requires strong organizational, technical, and leadership skills.

Essential Job Functions:
Deliver and pick up a variety of products and materials utilized for Witco's commercial operations.
Facilities Management
Inspect buildings and grounds to ensure compliance with safety, accessibility, and environmental codes.
Identify and prioritize maintenance, repair, and capital improvement needs.
Schedule and coordinate repair projects, cleaning routines, and facility upgrades.
Supervise maintenance staff and delegate tasks for repairs, cleaning, and facility upkeep.
Coordinate with third party vendors for buildings, grounds, and safety services evaluating and ensuring work performed is to company quality and safety standards
Monitor budgets for facilities operations, repairs, and supplies.
Enforce workplace safety, emergency, and security protocols
Fleet Management
Maintain vehicle fleet record keeping, reporting.
Plan and schedule preventive maintenance; coordinate urgent repairs as needed.
Establish efficient routes, transportation schedules, and delivery logistics.
Monitor fuel usage, maintenance costs, and fleet performance metrics.
Develop and implement fleet policies, procedures, and service standards.
Train staff on safe and efficient vehicle operation
Skills/Knowledge:
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Valid, clean driver's license with at least 3 years' driving experience
3+ years repairs or facilities maintenance experience
Familiarity with operating larger vehicles and motorized lifts
Ability to maintain accurate records of all vehicles, equipment, and facilities in spreadsheets
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Clean and neat appearance; professional demeanor
Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
