Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage all night shift fabrication shop operations to ensure productivity, efficiency, and quality standards are consistently met
  • Coordinate daily production schedules and prioritize workflow to meet project deadlines and customer expectations
  • Operate, oversee, and provide support with brake presses, plasma tables, CNC machinery, and other fabrication equipment as needed
  • Lead, train, mentor, and support fabrication shop personnel while fostering accountability and teamwork across the shift
  • Monitor production output and inspect finished products to ensure compliance with company quality control standards and specifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production, equipment, and workflow issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment while ensuring compliance with all company safety policies and procedures
  • Track material usage, labor productivity, and operational performance to maximize efficiency and reduce waste
  • Communicate effectively with management and day shift personnel to ensure smooth transition between shifts and continuity of operations
  • Assist with process improvements and implementation of best practices to enhance overall shop performance
Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing shop environment required
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience operating brake presses, CNC equipment, plasma tables, and other fabrication machinery
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, shop workflow, and production scheduling
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced production environment
