The Therapeutic Health Institute is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team. • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, ensuring they align with clinical guidelines and best practices.
• Document all client interactions and care strategies in accordance with regulatory standards, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools as recommended by the clinical team to evaluate client needs and progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement positive behavior support plans and optimize client outcomes.
• Actively engage in licensing and accreditation processes to maintain high standards of service delivery.
• Serve as a liaison to other service systems, state agencies, and community partners to foster cooperative relationships that enhance service delivery.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with community stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including attending conferences and representing the organization in community forums.
• Contribute to strategic discussions on agency mission promotion, ethical practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support operational excellence.

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse client population facing various mental health challenges, including emotional distress, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities. By employing trauma-informed care practices, you will assist clients in building resilience and developing coping strategies, ultimately enabling them to achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life.

• Possess a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Hold a valid Independent LMHC license issued by the state board, allowing for autonomous clinical practice.
• Demonstrate the ability to maintain clinical records meticulously and prepare insightful reports.
• Exhibit the capacity to thrive in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment.
• Communicate ideas effectively to clients and team members, fostering a positive therapeutic relationship.
• Have sound judgment and the ability to make informed decisions in a clinical setting.

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in outpatient mental health settings, familiarity with behavioral health regulations, and proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems will be advantageous. Experience working with diverse populations and knowledge of community resources can also enhance your effectiveness in this role.
