ROLE OVERVIEW

SunCentral is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager, Market Operations, to drive the community solar Subscription to Cash (STC) revenue cycle for select community solar markets within our RevOps department. This role requires a solid understanding of community solar best practices, a proven ability to deliver high-quality business results, exceptional attention to detail, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will bring an entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to learning, ensuring continuous improvement in driving revenue growth, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

As Manager, Market Operations, you will play a crucial role in optimizing subscription origination, subscription management, utility partnerships, customer experience and SunCentral platform development, while also identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, streamline processes and ensure high-quality outcomes. You'll work closely with multifunctional project teams to manage and drive community solar subscription revenue for Pivot Energy and our clients. In this capacity, you'll be responsible for adhering to standard operating procedures, managing people and client relationships, reporting business results, escalating issues, proposing solutions and supporting other projects as assigned by your manager.

This position requires an individual who is business focused, customer-centric, process-oriented, data-driven, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and manage an assigned team of community solar associates for select community solar markets and clients.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies to originate and manage high-quality community solar subscriptions at scale.
  • Define community solar subscription offerings for assigned markets including eligibility, underwriting and commercial terms.
  • Oversee subscription management, project and utility data and risk management practices to optimize revenue, minimize attrition, ensure program compliance and adhere to related financing covenants.
  • Collaborate effectively across Pivot to drive revenue and optimize our community solar subscription to cash revenue cycle.
  • Manage third-party client relationships and related community solar subscription service agreements including commercial terms, statements of work, pricing and invoicing.
  • Educate internal and external stakeholders on community solar subscription market dynamics, program opportunities, operational planning considerations and risks.
  • Cultivate a high-performing, collaborative and results-driven team culture.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in the community solar industry.
  • Proven business management, people management, organizational development, and communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes, troubleshoot, implement solutions and deliver high-quality business results.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building trust and rapport.
  • Naturally curious, self-directed, and able to work autonomously to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Highly proficient with MSOffice, SalesForce, AI and data analytics tools.

  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree, preferred.
$90,000 - $130,000 a year

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The estimated base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000, depending on relevant experience, along with eligibility for the company's substantial bonus plan, with the target bonus based on role.
